AI voice and music tools sell the same work in different units. Some charge a monthly plan and hand out credits or minutes. Some bill per character or per minute through an API. A few do both. This guide puts the official numbers side by side so you can compare what a voiceover or a song actually costs.
Every price below was checked on the vendor's own pricing page or docs on October 19, 2026, and is linked inline. Prices are in US dollars unless noted, and they are as of October 2026. How to read these prices
- Plan prices are what the pricing page shows for monthly billing, with the annual option noted where the page lists one.
- Credits, characters and minutes are the vendor's own units. We do not invent a "per song" or "per minute of voice" conversion unless the page states both the plan allotment and the per-unit cost.
- API prices are the vendor's listed per-character, per-token or per-minute rates.
- If a vendor does not publish a number in a form we can read, we say Not listed. We did not estimate any price.
Entry paid plans at a glance
The cheapest paid plan that includes voice generation or music generation, for each tool whose pricing page lists a clear US dollar amount:
- ElevenLabs Starter: $6 per month (monthly billing), 30,000 credits per month.
- WellSaid Starter: $19 per month (monthly billing), or $10 per month when billed annually.
- Murf Creator: $29 per month (monthly billing), or $19 per month when billed yearly ($228 per year).
- Suno Pro: $10 per month (monthly billing), or $8 per month when billed yearly (the page says yearly billing saves $24).
- Udio Standard: $10 per month (monthly), or $8 per month when billed annually ($96 per year).
- Stable Audio Solo: $12 per month, 660 credits per month.
- Soundraw Creator: $12.99 per month on monthly billing, or $11.04 per month billed annually. Both are discounted prices shown next to crossed-out list prices of $19.99 and $16.99.
- AIVA Standard: €15 per month plus VAT (monthly billing), or €11 per month plus VAT when billed annually.
ElevenLabs (voice, music and more)
ElevenLabs sells a shared credit pool across Text to Speech, Speech to Text, Music, Sound Effects and related tools on its Creative pricing page. Monthly billing:
- Free: $0 per month, 10,000 credits per month.
- Starter: $6 per month, 30,000 credits. Adds a commercial license, Instant Voice Cloning, Music commercial use and Dubbing Studio.
- Creator: $22 per month ($11 for the first month), 121,000 credits. Adds Professional Voice Cloning.
- Pro: $99 per month, 600,000 credits.
- Scale: $299 per month, 1.8M credits, 3 workspace seats.
- Business: $990 per month, 6M credits, 10 seats.
- Enterprise: custom pricing.
Annual billing, per the FAQ on the same page, is "two months free" (pay for 10 months). Equivalent monthly prices on annual billing: Starter $5, Creator $18.33, Pro $82.50, Scale $249.17, Business $825.
Credit costs from the FAQ: Text to Speech about 1 credit per character; Eleven Music about 900 credits per minute; Sound Effects about 200 credits per generation. Unused paid credits can roll over for up to two months on an active paid subscription.
The ElevenAPI pricing page also lists pay-as-you-go rates, including Text to Speech v4 at $0.08 per 1K characters, Flash/Turbo at $0.04 per 1K characters, and Music generation at $0.15 per minute. OpenAI TTS (API)
OpenAI's API pricing docs list Text to Speech as API usage, not a consumer subscription:
- tts-1: $15.00 per 1M characters.
- tts-1-hd: $30.00 per 1M characters.
- gpt-4o-mini-tts: Text input $0.60 per 1M tokens; Audio output $12.00 per 1M tokens.
There is no monthly "TTS plan" on that page. You pay for characters or tokens as you call the API.
Google Cloud Text-to-Speech
Google bills Cloud TTS by characters or tokens on its Text-to-Speech pricing page. Selected rows as of October 19, 2026:
Latest TTS models:
- Chirp 3: HD voices: free up to 1 million characters per month, then $0.00003 per character ($30 per 1 million characters).
- Instant custom voice: $0.00006 per character ($60 per 1 million characters); no free allotment listed.
Gemini-TTS (token pricing; free usage limit column says "Not available"):
- Gemini 2.5 Flash TTS / Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite Preview TTS: input $0.50 per 1 million text tokens; output $10.00 per 1 million audio tokens.
- Gemini 2.5 Pro TTS: input $1.00 per 1 million text tokens; output $20.00 per 1 million audio tokens.
- Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS (Preview) through December 31, 2026: input $0.50 per 1 million text tokens; output $9.00 per 1 million audio tokens (rates rise on January 1, 2027 per the same table).
Legacy models still listed include WaveNet and Standard at $4 per 1 million characters after a 4 million character free allotment, Neural2 at $16 per 1 million characters after 1 million free, and Studio voices at $160 per 1 million characters after 1 million free.
This is cloud API pricing. It is not a creator SaaS subscription with download minutes.
WellSaid
WellSaid's pricing page sells download minutes (generation is unlimited on paid plans). Monthly billing:
- Free trial: 3 download minutes per month, no commercial rights, no credit card required.
- Starter: $19 per month, 20 minutes per month.
- Pro: $49 per month, 180 minutes per month.
Billed annually:
- Starter: $10 per month ($120 per year), 240 minutes per year.
- Pro: $33 per month ($396 per year), 2,160 minutes per year.
- Business: $160 per month per user ($1,920 per year), 2,880 minutes per year per user. Team plans are billed annually.
- Enterprise: custom pricing, billed annually.
Paid individual plans list full commercial rights. Extra minutes are available for purchase.
Suno (music)
Suno's pricing page offers Free, Pro and Premier, with a Monthly / Annual toggle and "save 20%" on annual. With annual billing selected, the page shows:
- Free: $0 per month. Access to free models, 50 credits per day, standard features only, no commercial rights, no monthly song downloads.
- Pro: $8 per month, billed yearly (the card says it "Saves $24 by billing yearly"), or $10 per month with monthly billing. 2,500 credits per month, 20 song downloads per month, commercial use rights, Pro features, priority queue.
- Premier: $24 per month, billed yearly (saves $72 by billing yearly), or $30 per month with monthly billing. 10,000 credits per month, 60 song downloads per month, Suno Studio, advanced stem separation, upload up to 30 minutes of audio.

Udio (music)
Udio's pricing page lists Free, Standard and Pro, with Monthly and Annually toggles:
Monthly billing:
- Free: $0 per month. 10 credits per day and 100 credits per month (no rollovers); up to 4 songs at once; limit of 3 full-length (2:10) generations per day.
- Standard: $10 per month. 2,400 credits per month; up to 6 songs at once; Voice Control, editing, uploads and style reference.
- Pro: $30 per month. 6,000 credits per month; up to 10 songs at once; all features from other plans.
Annually:
- Standard: $8 per month ($96 billed annually).
- Pro: $24 per month ($288 billed annually).
Out-of-plan credit packs on the same page: 100 credits for $3.00, or 1,000 credits for $25.00. The page notes that some Standard features are not included in free trials.
Stable Audio (music)
Stable Audio's pricing page lists five plans, priced per month:
- Free: $0, 50 credits per month, personal non-commercial use.
- Solo: $12 per month, 660 credits per month, commercial license.
- Session: $30 per month, 1,800 credits per month.
- Producer: $90 per month, 6,000 credits per month.
- Studio: $199 per month, 14,000 credits per month.
The page lists no yearly price. Its FAQ says unused credits do not roll over. Paid plans generate tracks of any length up to 6 minutes, and every plan includes the Stable Audio DAW plugin.
Soundraw (music)
Soundraw's pricing page has Annual and Monthly views. Each card shows a crossed-out list price and a lower discounted price, both per month:
- Creator: $11.04 per month billed annually (list $16.99), or $12.99 per month billed monthly (list $19.99). Unlimited monthly track downloads; commercial use as background music for content creators and small companies under 10 employees.
- Artist Starter: $19.49 per month billed annually (list $29.99), or $25.99 per month billed monthly (list $39.99). 10 monthly track downloads.
- Artist Pro: $23.39 per month billed annually (list $35.99), or $38.99 per month billed monthly (list $59.99). 20 monthly track downloads.
- Artist Unlimited: $32.50 per month billed annually (list $50), or $64.99 per month billed monthly (list $99.99). Unlimited monthly track downloads.
The page says annual billing saves up to 67%.
AIVA (music, euros)
AIVA's pricing page is priced in euros. With yearly billing selected:
- Free: €0 forever. 3 downloads per month, non-commercial use, credit to AIVA required, copyright owned by AIVA.
- Standard: €11 per month plus VAT, billed annually. Limited monetization aimed at YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and Instagram; AIVA keeps the copyright; 15 downloads per month.
- Pro: €33 per month plus VAT, billed annually. Full monetization, you own the copyright, 300 downloads per month.
With monthly billing, Standard is €15 per month and Pro is €49 per month, both plus VAT.
Murf and Play.ht
- Murf: the Studio tab of Murf's pricing page lists Creator at $29 per month billed monthly, or $19 per month billed yearly ($228 per year), and Business at $99 per month billed monthly, or $66 per month billed yearly ($792 per year). The Free plan includes 10 minutes of voice generation, with no downloads and no commercial rights. The API tab lists Text to Speech at $0.01 or $0.03 per 1,000 characters, depending on the model.
- Play.ht: Meta acquired the PlayAI team in July 2025, TechCrunch reported. The play.ht site did not load when we checked on October 19, 2026, so Play.ht is not priced here.
How to choose
- API voice at scale: OpenAI TTS and Google Cloud TTS bill per character or token. Chirp 3 HD at $30 per 1M characters after the free million is a useful Cloud TTS reference point; OpenAI tts-1 is $15 per 1M characters.
- Creator voice SaaS: ElevenLabs Starter at $6 per month is the lowest entry price among the voice plans listed here. WellSaid sells download minutes instead of characters ($19 monthly / $10 annual for Starter), and Murf Creator is $29 monthly or $19 per month billed yearly.
- Song generation with commercial rights: Suno Pro and Udio Standard both land near $8 to $10 per month depending on monthly vs yearly billing. Compare download caps: Suno lists 20 downloads per month on Pro; Udio's public plan table emphasizes credits and concurrent generations rather than a download allotment.
- Long tracks and DAW work: Stable Audio Solo at $12 per month (tracks up to 6 minutes, plus a DAW plugin), or Soundraw Creator if you want unlimited background downloads under its Creator license.
- MIDI downloads: AIVA Standard at €11 per month billed annually, or €15 billed monthly, includes MP3 and MIDI downloads.
